Meet Dr. J S.A. DeMeo
My passion for orthodontics comes from all of the big smiles that I see at the end of treatment. I love the physics and vectors that help determine the best path for tooth eruption and how that meshes with the biology of each individual.
My favorite part about being an orthodontist are the lasting relationships I make throughout treatment. I love getting to know my patients over the course of treatment, hearing about their sports, school, hobbies and vacations.I enjoy serving my community through work with the local volunteer organizations and activities like Give Kids A Smile. I also volunteer my time on the Albany Med Craniofacial Team to help treat children with cleft palates. I previously served on the Board of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and continue to help them as a section editor of their journal.

I am a native of Niskayuna and my family’s roots are in Schenectady and East Greenbush. I spent 8 years on active duty in the Air Force and now continue to serve in the Reserves. In my spare time I like to ski, hike, travel, grill, and spend time with my wife, Lin, and our two boys: Ethan and Owen. I love to watch the New York Giants, Rangers, and Yankees!
